Vanbuilderass was awesome, plain and simple. Unfortunately, I never got to see them and all they released was this 7 inch with a few songs on comps. This is all they left for the world...too bad. I dont really know a whole lot about them to be honest but Steve Heritage from Assuck and Schematics Records released this on his label and recorded them. Also I was told that the drummer now plays in Rehasher with Roger from Less Than Jake. They also covered the song "One Shot Deal" on the full length. If anyone has more info, pass it on please.

we started out with the name jed (as in jed mescon, local newcaster/maniac.) that was just tony, daniel, grady, and kevin. soon after, we met up with chrissie, who had only recently moved to town. we decided on a different name and started playing a few shows. eventually buddha joined as a second guitar player, and thus became the only member of the band of legal drinking age. we recorded a rehearsal tape in the church where we practiced (because kevins dad preached there) and one of those songs ended up on the second region rock comp tape that our pal greg put out. eventually, though, we made our way to the studio that sam williams was running out of his house in north chattanooga. thats where we recorded what turned out to be the only songs we would ever have on tape. we made a billion copies and a billion stickers and stencilled a billion shirts and went on two seperate tours of the southeast. many adventures ensued and im sure each of us could tell you plenty of stories just from those two trips alone. in the end, though, it didnt last. i guess nothing does. some of us moved on to better things, and so we decided to let the old horse lie there unkicked. afterward, though, our friend brian parrish put out a 7" with six of the eight songs we recorded. it should also be noted that along the line, we had two other guitar players, eric nelson and joey smith. also our friends dany and kim busted their asses to put out a split cd between us and darvis brown and smokeasses. that project never really came to fruition, but it was still an awesome idea. dany even has a tattoo of one of our stencils on his arm. people that were in this band are now in other bands and used to be in even more bands. fuck yeah.

Alot of region rock to come

The REGION ROCK NINJA here just wanted to say that i got alot more stuff coming, resting up after the fest and BLACK RAINBOW is playing here in columbus this weekend so get ready. I don't have scans for some of these next records so if you got them please send them to me. THE LAZER (pre - bent outta shape)

This was the band Jamie and Ren were in before bent outta shape. This band toured but never put out any vinyl, shame. Included here are the tracks from the two splits they put out, one with kiwi and the other was scent of human history. This band was from long island NEW YORK.
